Ideal for everything — beaches, day trips and Hội An evenings.

Hot & humid Jun, Jul, Aug
Hot, often 30–38°C, humid; the sea is warm.
Swim and sightsee early; use the Cham Museum, malls and cafés at midday; Hội An by evening.
Look out for: Best beach swimming, Lively night markets
Wet season Sep, Oct, Nov, Dec, Jan
Warmer-to-mild (20–30°C) with heavy rain, especially Oct–Nov.
Keep indoor backups (Cham Museum, cooking class, tailoring, cafés); check flood/typhoon warnings and keep day-trip plans flexible.
Look out for: Atmospheric misty Hội An, Fewer crowds

Where to stay in Da Nang & Hội An
Da Nang's My Khe beach strip is the easy resort base near the airport; the Han River side puts you among riverside dining and the Dragon Bridge. Hội An (~45 min) rewards staying in or near the Ancient Town for the lantern-lit evenings, or at quiet An Bang Beach. Many travellers split nights between the two.

- Splitting nights (a couple in Da Nang, a couple in Hội An) saves a lot of back-and-forth.

- For Hội An's lanterns, stay close enough to walk back to the Ancient Town at night.

- Doing the Golden Bridge (Ba Na Hills) at midday in peak crowds — go early.
